Peep Show is a British sitcom starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb as two dysfunctional flatmates, Mark Corrigan and Jeremy 'Jez' Usborne. The show is distinctive for its use of point-of-view shots and inner monologues, giving viewers direct access to the characters' often cringe-worthy thoughts. Mark is an uptight, socially awkward loan manager obsessed with history, while Jez is a lazy, self-deluded aspiring musician. Mark Corrigan
Played by David Mitchell
A pessimistic, socially awkward loan manager at JLB Credit who owns the Croydon flat and dreams of being a historian. He considers himself morally superior to everyone, Jeremy especially, but is often just as petty and selfish.
Jeremy 'Jez' Usborne
Played by Robert Webb
Mark's friend from university, a work-shy would-be musician who lives in the spare room. He is convinced of his own talent and charm, and is usually wrong on both counts.

Jeremy's bandmate and best friend, a chaotic drug enthusiast with a line in unforgettable advice. His real name is revealed to be Simon in the final series.
Sophie Chapman
Played by Olivia Colman
Mark's colleague at JLB and his long-running crush. The two eventually marry, but it collapses almost at once, and she later has Mark's baby.
Dobby
Played by Isy Suttie
A self-confessed misfit who works in IT at JLB. Mark falls for her and they have an on-off relationship in which she is frequently disappointed by him.
Alan Johnson

Mark's boss at JLB, a senior loan manager who projects supreme confidence but is reckless and self-deluded. Mark is desperate for his approval.
Big Suze
Played by Sophie Winkleman
Jeremy's well-to-do ex-girlfriend, who drifts in and out of his life. Mark memorably calls her a 'mental posho'.
